Already in KL since Wednesday. Raya was as usual, not too much difference from previous years. Biggest difference was, extra RM1 for 'duit raya' from me for my cousins. Still the same amount for my grandmothers and grandfather as well as my younger brother and sister. But I noticed I didn't feel sad the night where Ramadhan ended. Maybe because I was too occupied thinking about the project I'm handling currently that my mind didn't have the time to think about something else. Nevertheless, the last 'buka puasa' session with my mother's big family was awesome. We made BBQ chickens, stingrays, sausages, seafood steamboat and some 'sate'. Had been given credit because the BBQ foods were prepared by me and they were well cooked hehe.

My brother and I had our 'sahur' at one roadside stall in Temerloh town. We left KL at 0245, with the expectation the road would be clear from traffic jam. Indeed we were wrong. The jam started from before Genting Sempah tunnel up until Bentong Petronas R&R due to people slowing down to stop at the R&R. Road was clear after that, and since we were already late I floored the pedal until Temerloh town. Managed to find a stall but we only ordered hot drinks as our 'sahur' because there was not much time left and there was no food either. Lucky I had some 'kurma' given by my client before in the car. Reached my grandmother's house at 0620. Had our 'subuh' prayer and since all the kids were still awaken, we played with them for a while before crashing into bed. Was awaken by my mom at 1230 for Jumaat prayer. At 1500, started the BBQ process. 1905, last 'buka puasa' for Ramadhan 2007. Then after that, the activity was filled with eating process so not much to be told here.

Raya, what else. Had my breakfast, took a bath and went to mosque for Aidilfitri prayer. Finished everything at 0900, reached home at 0930. 'Salam-salam' and photography session followed until 1030, and then more eating. Departed to Kuala Lipis at 1130, once arrived did the 'salam-salam' session again with my dad's big family. Visit relatives at 1715 until 1830.

Off to Jerantut again at 1630. Waited for my grandpa to finish preparing the 'lemang', then only we departed. Reached Jerantut at 2100. 4 hours journey because we stopped here and there to visit relatives (yes I have shitloads of relatives in Pahang especially in Jerantut and Kuala Lipis area).

Off to KL at 1130. Arrived at about 1330, me and my brother only. Mom and Dad still at Jerantut. Had our lunch at KFC, how pathetic. Mind started thinking about work.
So, how was your Raya?

1. My first Ramadhan where I paid my 'zakat fitrah' by myself. Felt proud because with my not-so-big salary, I didn't feel regret at all to depart with that RM4.70 while there are still people out there who are not willing to deduct the amount from their coffers. (who knows next year I may be paying RM9.40, ahaha.. speculation, speculation..)
