Off! (Again)

I'm officially off from any civilization starting from tonight (30/11/2007) until don't-know-when. System installation is commencing and I can't afford to have people distracting me with their unimportant problems. That means I won't be responding to any calls, SMSes, e-mails or any forms of communication (even smoke signal) unless deemed important or urgent.

As usual, to my Izma, thanks for being you. Next week, okay.

Pulling the network cable.... Now!!

Sayut: Bini aku dok sini (pointing to Concorde Hotel)
k-mie: Dok sini? Yang kursus INSTEP tu ke? (when the Hell Sayut becomes fat like this?? I also can't recognize worr..)
Sayut: A'ah, kursus tu la. Aku tumpang bilik la kiranya. Ko buat apa pulak kat sini?
k-mie: Aku dok buat system kat sini la. Hari-hari ada kat sini, tapi tak tido sini la. Nanti-nanti baru tido sini.
Sayut: Aaa ok. Nanti boleh jumpa la.
k-mie: Boleh boleh. Ok ah, aku nak makan jap.

k-mie At Home

Potong dua-dua belah bawang ni (buang akar & kepala, learnt the hard way bawang tu kena buang akar dia) & buang kulit dia sekali.
Sile bukak tingkap, sebab asap dia nanti banyak. Kalau rumah ada smoke alarm, sila offkan dulu untuk mengelakkan jiran anda memanggil bomba. Step ni boleh dibuat sebelum potong bawang & cili tadi, tapi sebab yang memasak ni newbie maka dia tak terpikir bahawa minyak ni boleh dipanaskan sementara potong bawang & cili (mengakibatkan pembaziran masa sebanyak 3 minit).

Nugget Ayam

Sensitivity

A young man moved into a new apartment on his own, and went to the lobby to put his name on his mailbox. While there, an attractive young lady came out of the apartment next to the mailboxes wearing a robe.

The boy smiled at the young woman and she started a conversation with him.

As they talked, her robe slipped open, and it was obvious that she had nothing else on. The poor kid broke into a sweat trying to maintain eye contact. After a few minutes, she placed her hand on his arm and said, "Let's go to my apartment, I hear someone coming."

He followed her into her apartment; she closed the door and leaned against it, allowing her robe to fall off completely. Now nude, she purred at him, "What would you say is my best feature?" Flustered and embarrassed, he finally squeaked, "It's got to be your ears!"

Astounded, and a little hurt she asked, "My ears? Look at these breasts; they are full and 100% natural! I work out every day! My butt is firm and solid! Look at my skin - no blemishes anywhere! How can you think that the best part of my body is my ears?"

Clearing his throat, he stammered, "Outside, when you said you heard someone coming? That was me."

Oh dear God..

Rojak Buah Satu, Siap!

There is the kind of weekend where you have the chance to rest, but you blow it off. Happened to me this weekend.

I reached home from work at about 2:30am Saturday morning, and instead of going straight to sleep I decided to spend the whole night SMS-ing (is there such a word?) with Izma until morning. So there I was, sleeping at 6am Saturday and woke up at 2pm. So there, morning already wasted with me not having my breakfast. I planned to look at my codes that evening, but with me being a super procrastinator any weekend time there goes my laptop untouched (oh, did I tell you my company give me a laptop now hehehe..).

Sunday morning, went to Midvalley with my baby brother who is not so baby anymore now. Slowly maturing to a 14-years-old teenage, pimples also started to peek around the cheek huhu. I think he has a girlfriend, because he keeps taking away his mobile phone whenever I want to take a look. Must be someone though hohoho. Not that I forbid him from having a girlfriend, as long as he doesn't lose focus on his study then it's A-OK with me. Monkey love as we call it, most of the time doesn't last too long also. WTF with my baby brother's story, I'm supposed to tell what's going on in Midvalley. Okay back to topic. We planned to go there and have a game (or two) of bowling. But then some got-extra-money-in-account company decided to have their family day at the bowling arena, resulting in all the lanes were occupied. Disappointed though, couldn't they just spare 3 or 4 lanes for others. So we just headed to the video game arcade and wasted RM5 on that stupid multimedia boxes. I've noticed that I'm suck at playing these arcade games nowadays. Used to be an arcade junkie 8-9 years ago, no more now. My reflexes also has deteriorated, much alone trying to shoot the bad guys popping out from nowhere in Time Crisis 3.

Oh, I've finally get myself, my phone actually, a handphone pouch. It's an original Sony Ericsson pouch mind you LOL. I have this tendency to buy related things from the same brand, provided if the price doesn't differ too much. Now am targeting those sleek, elegant whatsoever bluetooth headset. But since I'm now on a budget constraint, I think that will only be materialized February next year onwards. As with the phone, I'm used to the functions already. Just that too sad because I can't really play with it's potential. So sad to see such a pricey phone being used for calls, SMS, games, web browsing and listening to MP3s. I really wish to use this phone as GPS navigation system, but with it having UIQ3.0 as the OS it's gonna be a bit hard then. I don't even know which GPS software is compatible with UIQ3.0, so far none that have install-and-you-go method. I already have in my mind that if I can't get this bugger as GPS platform, I'm gonna sell it at discounted price and change to HP PDA phone. Windows sure sucks a lot, but AFAIK Windows Mobile 5.0 is the one with more support for GPS. (paragraph full of geek lingo, sorry)

On other note. I was relaxing just now watching the news with my big brother and my mom. Then suddenly there was an ad about GE followed by related news. Which brings us to this magical question by my mom: "Dah daftar nak mengundi ke belum?" (*sigh* here goes..) With me being raised by an ex-army *all salute Dad!!*, I have the feeling that every ounce of blood in my body is filled with patriotism. According to the 2nd know-it-all-website on the Net, Wikipedia:

Patriotism denotes positive and supportive attitudes to a 'fatherland' (Latin patria <>), by individuals and groups. [Patriotism - Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriotism 19 Nov 2007]

Safe to say that patriotism is loving your country, and I damn sure I have lots of this in me. Heck, I'd go to war to defend my country. But.. (yes, there's a but there)

I am loyal to my country, not the people running it. Being me, a guy who needs a reason for everything, I tend to think that there is no point in voting for government currently. I know that even if I don't vote, somebody surely is going to win the election and I'm sure all of you know who that somebody is. I don't think they'll lose the election just because they're short 1 vote from me. Well if they do, I'm sure they have contingency plans for that LOL. Please, don't relate this blog with BERSIH or anything like. I've been having this idea of not registering to vote since the day I was aware of our country's political situation. To tell the truth, I'm sick of corruptions going on nowadays to the point I don't give a damn anymore. You can go and launch all those 'ANTI-RASUAH' or 'TAKNAK' ('TAKNAK' is about corruption or smoking??) campaign, but the big question is will the servants follow what you're campaigning about? For me, now the phrase "Don't ask what the country give to you, but ask what you give to the country" is no more feasible. This is, because, whenever anyone asks that to me I can easily answer: "Tax money". So please, I need to see something useful being done with the tax money all the tax payers pay every year. Once that is done and we can confirm to have a clean, fair election, I can assure you I'd take a leave from work to register as a voter if I have to. Well, that and if the G doesn't come out with a law saying "All ye must vothe for ye election". Then I'd be doomed, LOL.

Need to sleep now. Working hours has changed to 2pm-2am. Kinda weird to start work when everyone is already half through their Hellish day..

HR

Happy Deepavali people.

Will be conducting interviews today as the company I'm working with is currently taking new staffs. Finally I get assistants (yay!) and I get to choose them. Been reading through guides on how to conduct an interview. Well I'm a programmer by nature, so interaction with human is not my premier quality. But so far working with my current employer, I think I'm more communicative with other people (am I?). Well don't get me wrong, I'm still the quiet person who will not come up with a conversation to someone who I just recently know. Yup I have the tendencies to be very quiet towards someone I'm not familiar with, most probably due to my self-defense attitude heh. But what I know is, I've improved my way to talk to managers and other top position person. Well if you know the trick, you can also give them a piece of your mind and get away with it LOL.

Need to take a bath and go meet my future assistants. Later.

Dad, Happy Birthday.

Long Time No Blog

Blog already filled with spiderwebs LOL. Time for some update on what's going on with my life. I already started with my system installation. So far so good, client has been really co-operative and understanding with the delays we are facing now. I'm trying to make this installation as smooth as possible, and thus the reason why I need the time to thoroughly test each and every single part of the application to the max. Simulating real-life environment is hard when you are doing code works in the office, so with partial-parallel system installation method I can single out problems and sort them out efficiently. Enough with the geek language for now, need all the rest I can have from work.

Raya mood still not over, although it is already nearing to the end. But so far I haven't receive any open-house invitation except one by my school buddy. Either people are too busy, I am too busy or people already forget that I exist LOL. I am also too occupied with my work that I don't have the time to think about Raya celebration anymore. Maybe next year I'll be celebrating Raya again, who knows.

On other note, congrats to Jack (5H) on your wedding 27th of October.

Lately I realize I have been stressed out due to work and life problem. Am thinking to go for 'stress-release' session at any waterfall, but don't know to go with whom. Parid is on outstation duty the full week, Pejai & Azhar already married so kinda weird to ask them whether to go or not. Takkan nak pegi dengan Adi dua orang jek, ghey gile.. Gonna find another way to release out the steam. I was thinking to ask for suggestion from the reader, but seeing that nobody reads my blog (ahaha..) I don't think that's a good idea.

Almost 2 months since I started using my P990i. Overall, I'm satisfied with the phone. I started to familiarize with the operating system, shortcuts etc. Still not using all the functions as I am learning step by step, but based on the experience I don't feel like this is a waste buying. The phone does the job efficiently and on some functions even better than my old phone, so I don't feel regret buying it. This is the priciest phone I bought so far, I think I'll kick myself if I regret buying it LOL. Now, just need to search the way to convert this phone into a car navigation system.

I think that's all for now.
