There is the kind of weekend where you have the chance to rest, but you blow it off. Happened to me this weekend.
I reached home from work at about 2:30am Saturday morning, and instead of going straight to sleep I decided to spend the whole night SMS-ing (is there such a word?) with Izma until morning. So there I was, sleeping at 6am Saturday and woke up at 2pm. So there, morning already wasted with me not having my breakfast. I planned to look at my codes that evening, but with me being a super procrastinator any weekend time there goes my laptop untouched (oh, did I tell you my company give me a laptop now hehehe..).
Sunday morning, went to Midvalley with my baby brother who is not so baby anymore now. Slowly maturing to a 14-years-old teenage, pimples also started to peek around the cheek huhu. I think he has a girlfriend, because he keeps taking away his mobile phone whenever I want to take a look. Must be someone though hohoho. Not that I forbid him from having a girlfriend, as long as he doesn't lose focus on his study then it's A-OK with me. Monkey love as we call it, most of the time doesn't last too long also. WTF with my baby brother's story, I'm supposed to tell what's going on in Midvalley. Okay back to topic. We planned to go there and have a game (or two) of bowling. But then some got-extra-money-in-account company decided to have their family day at the bowling arena, resulting in all the lanes were occupied. Disappointed though, couldn't they just spare 3 or 4 lanes for others. So we just headed to the video game arcade and wasted RM5 on that stupid multimedia boxes. I've noticed that I'm suck at playing these arcade games nowadays. Used to be an arcade junkie 8-9 years ago, no more now. My reflexes also has deteriorated, much alone trying to shoot the bad guys popping out from nowhere in Time Crisis 3.
Oh, I've finally get myself, my phone actually, a handphone pouch. It's an original Sony Ericsson pouch mind you LOL. I have this tendency to buy related things from the same brand, provided if the price doesn't differ too much. Now am targeting those sleek, elegant whatsoever bluetooth headset. But since I'm now on a budget constraint, I think that will only be materialized February next year onwards. As with the phone, I'm used to the functions already. Just that too sad because I can't really play with it's potential. So sad to see such a pricey phone being used for calls, SMS, games, web browsing and listening to MP3s. I really wish to use this phone as GPS navigation system, but with it having UIQ3.0 as the OS it's gonna be a bit hard then. I don't even know which GPS software is compatible with UIQ3.0, so far none that have install-and-you-go method. I already have in my mind that if I can't get this bugger as GPS platform, I'm gonna sell it at discounted price and change to HP PDA phone. Windows sure sucks a lot, but AFAIK Windows Mobile 5.0 is the one with more support for GPS. (paragraph full of geek lingo, sorry)
On other note. I was relaxing just now watching the news with my big brother and my mom. Then suddenly there was an ad about GE followed by related news. Which brings us to this magical question by my mom: "Dah daftar nak mengundi ke belum?" (*sigh* here goes..) With me being raised by an ex-army *all salute Dad!!*, I have the feeling that every ounce of blood in my body is filled with patriotism. According to the 2nd know-it-all-website on the Net, Wikipedia:
Safe to say that patriotism is loving your country, and I damn sure I have lots of this in me. Heck, I'd go to war to defend my country. But.. (yes, there's a but there)
I am loyal to my country, not the people running it. Being me, a guy who needs a reason for everything, I tend to think that there is no point in voting for government currently. I know that even if I don't vote, somebody surely is going to win the election and I'm sure all of you know who that somebody is. I don't think they'll lose the election just because they're short 1 vote from me. Well if they do, I'm sure they have contingency plans for that LOL. Please, don't relate this blog with BERSIH or anything like. I've been having this idea of not registering to vote since the day I was aware of our country's political situation. To tell the truth, I'm sick of corruptions going on nowadays to the point I don't give a damn anymore. You can go and launch all those 'ANTI-RASUAH' or 'TAKNAK' ('TAKNAK' is about corruption or smoking??) campaign, but the big question is will the servants follow what you're campaigning about? For me, now the phrase "Don't ask what the country give to you, but ask what you give to the country" is no more feasible. This is, because, whenever anyone asks that to me I can easily answer: "Tax money". So please, I need to see something useful being done with the tax money all the tax payers pay every year. Once that is done and we can confirm to have a clean, fair election, I can assure you I'd take a leave from work to register as a voter if I have to. Well, that and if the G doesn't come out with a law saying "All ye must vothe for ye election". Then I'd be doomed, LOL.
Need to sleep now. Working hours has changed to 2pm-2am. Kinda weird to start work when everyone is already half through their Hellish day..
